Actos Litigation Heats Up

Actos is a diabetes drug which unfortunately causes bladder cancer. 2,500 cases have been filed against Takeda and other corporate entities in federal court. 25 million pages of documents have been produced and over a dozen corporate depositions have been scheduled over the next 90 days alone. Arrangements are being made for depositions of Japanese personnel of Takeda. The first federal trial is scheduled for January 2014.
